At Century Batteries, we’re committed to protecting the environments that make Australia unique—from our manufacturing plant in Queensland to our support for one of the world’s most iconic ecosystems: the Great Barrier Reef.

Home to:

  • 6 of the world’s 7 marine turtle species

  • Over 3,000 types of coral

  • More than 1,700 species of fish

The Reef faces serious threats. Alongside climate change, poor water quality—caused by sediment and pollutants flowing from inland areas—is one of the biggest challenges to its long-term health.

Our Partnership with Reef Aid

We’ve teamed up with Greening Australia’s Reef Aid Program to help tackle water quality issues at the source. Together, we’re working to:

  • Rebuild eroding land across the Reef catchment

  • Restore coastal wetlands

  • Improve water quality flowing to the Reef

  • Support coral and seagrass recovery

  • Boost marine biodiversity and local livelihoods

Every restored hectare and every tonne of sediment prevented brings us closer to a cleaner, healthier Reef—by 2030 and beyond.
