Alongside the impacts of climate change, poor water quality remains one of the greatest threats to the Reef’s long-term health. Each year, millions of tons of sediment and pollutants flow from inland areas into the ocean, harming marine life and damaging delicate coral ecosystems.

That’s why Century Batteries has partnered with Greening Australia to support their Reef Aid Program - an initiative focused on tackling water quality issues at the source.

Through this partnership Century Batteries is helping Greening Australia to work with local landholders and communities across the Great Barrier Reef Catchment to rebuild eroding land restore coastal wetlands, improve water quality flowing to the Reef.

Together, we’re helping protect one of Australia’s greatest natural treasures - so future generations can enjoy a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment.
