From identifying recyclable items using AI technology, to showing nearby drop-off points based on your exact location, Recycle Mate is revolutionising how Australians access recycling information. It features data from 538 council kerbside systems, over 40,000 disposal locations, and supports users in 92 languages - making it one of the most powerful tools in the push toward a circular economy.
This partnership will promote Century Yuasa’s national battery recycling program across Recycle Mate’s platforms, helping to drive traffic to Century Yuasa battery collection points and raise awareness about how to safely dispose of lead-acid batteries. The partnership also helps promote environmental responsibility across the automotive sector, and reach new audiences interested in sustainability.
All Century Yuasa battery recycling centres will now be listed on the Recycle Mate database, with ongoing data updates and branded location pop-ups to highlight Century’s involvement. Educational material will also be made available to help Australians understand the environmental benefits of recycling used lead-acid batteries.
